My Story

On the 28th of June, I’ll be taking on the 25-mile Orwell Walk to raise money for Lighthouse Women’s Aid. Additionally, I will also be holding a quiz night to help raise further funds!

Lighthouse Women’s Aid provides vital support for women, young people, and children affected by domestic abuse—offering refuge, guidance, and help to rebuild lives. Their work is essential: one in four women will experience domestic abuse, and around two women are killed each week in the UK by a current or former partner.

This cause is deeply important to me both personally and professionally. I’ve supported survivors through volunteering and in my current role, and I’ve seen firsthand the incredible strength and resilience they show.

Domestic abuse takes many forms, and while we may not fully understand each experience, we can all choose to listen, support, and show empathy.
